Milind was a national swimmer at the age of 9 and swam till the age of 22. The handsome actor claimed  he stopped exercising after 23 and did nothing until  38, his weight remained the same.(WOAH!)

No gym

Yes, you heard it right! He does not go to the gym, nor does he run every day to maintain in good shape. In an interview with a newspaper, he talked at length about his fitness and diet secrets, including his non-gym routine starting age 38. For Milind, gyms are basically meant for bodybuilding or maybe rehab, and not for fitness. Milind, who gave up going to the gym at 38, feels he’s fitter today than he was 20 years ago.

No diet

Turns he does not follow any specific, calorie-restricted diet, although he likes to eat healthy food. He doesn’t eat refined white sugar, instead opt for something sweet that is made of jaggery or honey – which means he avoids eating any food that has sugar in it, including packaged over-processed food, so no chemicals for Milind.

If you think running every single day is one of his secrets to staying fit, you got it all wrong. Milind runs 3-4 times a week. In fact, he had even revealed that he does not believe in any kind of ritual or routine to stay fit. According to Milind, what matters is that one needs to be active all the time.

Quit smoking

The actor said he fell prey to the bad habit of smoking when he started his career in television. So for a decade between the ages of 28 and 38, he used to smoke up to 30 cigarettes a day. But, he gave up smoking in 2004, although he admitted that it took him three years to really break the habit.

Early to bed, early to rise

Most of us are familiar with Ben Franklin’s old saying ‘Early to bed, and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise’. While such an idea seems impossible for most of us to implement in our life, he makes it a point to value his sleep more. He generally sleeps by 10:30-11 pm and wakes up by 5 am.
